When Client Work Was Spread Across Disconnected Tools
A first-person account of why I rebuilt my freelance setup into one structured system after juggling client work across disconnected tools.
Published September 25, 2026
My client work was spread across disconnected tools. I wanted a more structured way to run my freelance business, so I rebuilt my own setup into one system.
Why I changed my setup
Juggling work across separate tools was the challenge that pushed me to rethink my setup. I wanted the pieces of my freelance work to sit within a more coherent structure.
The answer, for me, was to rebuild the system I used for my own business. This is the experience behind the templates I make: they come from a need I had in my own work.
Rebuilding my own setup
I rebuilt my setup into one structured system. It shaped the way I think about freelance workflows and the resources I create for my own work.
It also shaped OpsSolo. I share these resources because I have used them myself, not to present a client result.
What I took from it
The right arrangement depends on the person and the work. In my case, the change was moving from disconnected tools to one structured system.
