Turning Tutorial Notes Into Workflows I Could Use
A personal reflection on watching videos, reading blogs and working through tutorials, then turning useful notes into workflows for freelance work.
Published September 25, 2026
I have watched what feels like millions of YouTube videos, read blogs and worked through tutorials. I kept notes and summaries, then started turning the useful parts into workflows for my freelance work.
The hard part came after learning
For me, the challenge was putting what I learned to use in my own business. Notes and summaries were a way to keep the useful parts; turning them into workflows gave those ideas a place in my freelance work.
Why I started sharing the resources
That habit is part of why I created OpsSolo. The shop gives me a place to share the notes, summaries and practical resources I have made for work I do myself. Each product is something I have used, though the exact format and purpose differs from one product to another.
I share the parts that proved useful in my own work. The products vary in format because the material does not always call for the same kind of resource.
A distinction I keep coming back to
Learning something and applying it are separate parts of the process. A clear tutorial can help with the first. A workflow or working document can make it easier to carry the idea into day-to-day work.
This post is a reflection on my own experience, not a step-by-step method. For walkthroughs with a defined task and sequence, browse the OpsSolo tutorial guides.
